A tradition for ships returning from deployment is to have a raffle among the crew prior to pulling in for the First Kiss. Then once the ship pulls in, the new dads and the winner of the First Kiss raffle are allowed to be the first to leave the ship. This year we did the raffle a little differently, we had 3 First Kiss raffles. One was for the E-4 and below (our most junior Sailors), one was for the E-5s & E-6s, and the third was for all the Chiefs & officers.
I won the third raffle. So I will be allowed to be one of the first Sailors to leave the ship when we get back from deployment!
